October is Arsenic Awareness Month
Concerned About Arsenic in Your Water?
Arsenic is common in Northern Nevada wells, and you cannot see, taste, or smell it. From the company that has solved this for your neighbors and NAS Fallon.

What we see in Northern Nevada wells
Arsenic is the most common serious well-water issue we see in Northern Nevada. Private wells here rank among the highest arsenic levels in the continental United States. The only way to know is a certified laboratory test.
- EPA limit is 10 ppb. We routinely see wells at 1,500 to 2,100 ppb, and some as high as 3,000 ppb.
- A 2022 Desert Research Institute study found 22% of Northern Nevada private wells over that limit.
- In Pure Water’s own tests, 58% of the wells we test exceed the EPA limit. Those are two different samples. We do not treat them as one statistic.
- Nevada does not require private-well arsenic testing when a home is sold.
- Since 1993 we have installed over 1,180 reverse osmosis systems for families associated with NAS Fallon.

Northern Nevada’s Leader in Arsenic Removal
“Arsenic treatment is not one-size-fits-all. It must be properly tested, designed, and installed to perform correctly.” — Bryce Pollock, managing partner
Test Your Water
We identify not just arsenic, but the type (As(III) or As(V)), plus anything else that can block the media.
Free Quote & Custom Design
No-pressure quote. The system is built for your chemistry, pressure, and flow — the latest, longest-lasting media, not a one-size-fits-all tank.
Professional Installation
Installed by Nevada-licensed technicians, fast, clean, and to code. NV Lic #94724.
Retest & Maintain
We verify performance after install and keep the system working. “When it comes to arsenic, the system has to be right—or it doesn’t work.”
Arsenic Levels We Routinely See
Inorganic arsenic in groundwater is usually As(III) or As(V). Type III is harder to remove, so we typically oxidize it to type V first. Iron and other contaminants can block arsenic media. That is why we test before we size a system.
Ranges below are from our Northern Nevada infographic. Page copy uses these numbers, not the rounder map in the video.
| Area | Range we routinely see |
|---|---|
| Fallon / Churchill County | 8–2,100 ppb |
| Fernley | 9–150 ppb |
| Verdi | 0–150 ppb |
| Palomino Valley | 2–110 ppb |
| Washoe Valley | 2–25 ppb |
| Virginia City Highlands | Test — no published range |
| Reno city water | 4–14 ppb |
